S. Frank Culberson, president and CEO of Rimkus Consulting Group in Houston, Texas, has pledged $50,000 to endow a discretionary fund for the Department of Chemical Engineering at North Carolina State University.
An alumnus of NC State, Culberson earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering in 1960. He received an MBA from the University of Houston in 1966. His company, Rimkus Consulting Group, is a forensic consulting company that performs engineering and business assessments concerning accidents; injuries; structural and mechanical failures; fires and explosions; energy, chemical, and mining problems; and hazards to human health posed by molds and environmental releases.
Dr. Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering, said of Culberson’s gift, "We greatly appreciate the support Frank Culberson has shown the College of Engineering. This endowment will enhance current programs and new opportunities within the Department of Chemical Engineering."
Culberson is a member of the NC State Engineering Foundation Board of Directors.
