The BASF Corporation, a multinational chemicals manufacturing corporation, has donated $40,000 to the College of Engineering at NC State University. Twenty-five thousand dollars, the final installment of a $125,00 pledge, goes to the Department of Chemical Engineering for the renovation of the BASF Lecture Hall in Riddick Laboratories. BASF also has donated $3,500 to renew the BASF Student Organization Scholarship Fund, which provides an annual scholarship to students, an additional $500 to each of three student chapters and $10,000 to the Department of Chemical Engineering as an unrestricted gift.
Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering at NC State, said, “We greatly appreciate the continued support the BASF Corporation has shown the College of Engineering. This gift will greatly enhance current programs and create new opportunities within the Department of Chemical Engineering, as well as support the educational activities of some of the brightest students in the nation.”
