Alcoa Gives $43,000 to College of Engineering for Diversity-Related Projects

Alcoa has donated $43,000 to the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University. The gift will support two diversity-related projects. The first project, a continuation of a project started last year, integrates diversity training across curricula and cohorts in engineering. The second projects will enhance the diversity of the student population by improving the success of students in required first-year courses such as the Introduction to Computing course.

Dean Nino A. Masnari said, "We appreciate this generous gift by Alcoa. By supporting these diversity projects, Alcoa is supporting the educational activities of some of the nation’s brightest and most energetic students."
