Alcoa, a world leader in aluminum production, has donated $32,500 to the College of Engineering at North Carolina State University. Most of the funds, $27,500, will go to mentoring programs at NC State, such as the Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Living and Learning Together program. The remaining funds will go to sponsor a senior design project for the Department of Materials Science and Engineering.

“We greatly appreciate this gift from Alcoa,” said Dr. Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering. “The funding will support a number of important educational programs for our engineering students.”
