As part of NC State’s Achieve! Campaign, Dr. Robert E. Troxler of Raleigh has endowed a gift of $250,000 to the College of Engineering at NC State University. Troxler’s gift will establish the William F. Troxler Design Center Support Endowment and the William F. Troxler Enhancement Fund.
Funds from the support endowment will be used by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering to furnish and maintain the William F. Troxler Design Center. The enhancement endowment will provide funding for the general support of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and other departments within the College.
Dedicated in 1997, the William F. Troxler Design Center was named in honor of Troxler’s late father, William, founder of Troxler Electronic Laboratories Inc. William Troxler received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NC State in 1952.
Troxler, director of Advanced Technologies at Troxler Electronic Laboratories Inc., is a member of the NC State Engineering Foundation Board of Directors and an active supporter of the College. He received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from NC State in 1983.
Dean Nino A. Masnari said of the gift, "We greatly appreciate the support the Troxler family has shown the College of Engineering. This gift will enhance current programs and provide new opportunities within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering."
The endowments will be administered by the NC State Engineering Foundation, Inc.
