Lee Speaks Before International Conference on Geometric Design and Computing

Dr. Yuan-Shin Lee, associate professor of industrial engineering at NC State University, was invited to give a plenary speech at the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) International Conference on Geometric Design and Computing, held November 5–8 in Sacramento, California.  The international conference, sponsored by SIAM, is one of the largest and most important in its field.

Lee, who received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1993, is an internationally recognized scholar in the area of computational design and manufacturing.  He has also received the prestigious National Science Foundation Career Award and the Alcoa Foundation Engineering Research Achievement Award.
