Felder Receives Warren K. Lewis Award for Chemical Engineering Education

Dr. Richard M. Felder, Hoechst Celanese professor emeritus of chemical engineering at North Carolina State University, is one of two recipients of the Warren K. Lewis Award for Chemical Engineering Education.

The award, sponsored by ExxonMobil Research & Engineering Company, is shared with Dr. Ronald W. Rousseau, chair of the School of Chemical Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology and a former professor of chemical engineering at NC State. Felder and Rousseau coauthored Elementary Principles of Chemical Processes, the top-selling introductory chemical engineering textbook in the United States, while Rousseau was a faculty member at NC State.
