College of Engineering Presents Awards for Excellence

Dr. Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering at NC State University, and Dr. Sarah A. Rajala, associate dean for research and graduate programs, recognized Pat Hayes (center), director of the Office of Research Administration, for his exemplary leadership at a March 23 awards ceremony.

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University announced the 2005 Awards for Excellence at a recognition ceremony in Mann Hall, March 23. Dr. Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering, and Dr. Sarah A. Rajala, associate dean for research and graduate programs, presented awards to Pat Hayes, Margaret Hudacko and Kaye Whaley.

Hayes, director of the Office of Research Administration, was nominated for his exemplary leadership and his ability to keep contracts and grants flowing smoothly. Hudacko, webmaster for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, was nominated for her development of many helpful web applications and her creative team approach to service.  Whaley, administrative secretary in the College of Engineering Dean’s office, was nominated for her excellent organizational skills and her dedication to the college and the university.
