Baldwin Wins Garland Duncan Scholarship

Elizabeth Baldwin, a senior in mechanical engineering, was one of three winners of the prestigious Garland Duncan Scholarship.  Through projects such as converting a gas-fueled pickup truck to run on electricity and the American Society or Mechanical Engineers (ASME) student design project, Baldwin has become intrigued by the interaction of man and machine.

Baldwin is currently the chair of the NC State ASME student section, and plans to continue her education at the graduate level in robotics.
