ASME International Gives $6,000 Scholarship to Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

ASME International, formerly known as the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, has selected the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University to receive a Clarke Scholarship in the amount of $6,000.  The memorial scholarship was established to recognize departmental support of ASME student section activities.

The Scholarship Selection Committee based their decision on the “positive impact” the ASME Student Section has had on the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at NC State.  (See related story at http://www.engr.ncsu.edu/news/awards/ASME.student.award.html.)

The scholarship funds are designated for incoming freshmen in the fall 2003 semester.
