McCoy Receives Faculty Senior Scholarship Award

The College of Engineering at North Carolina State University announced the Faculty Senior Scholarship Award for 2005-06 at the annual fall faculty meeting held September 7. Dr. Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering, presented the award to industrial engineering major Jessica H. McCoy.

McCoy is a dual-degree student majoring in industrial engineering and applied mathematics. She has been a Co-op student working with Philip Morris in Richmond, Va., and she has traveled to Peru and Italy through the Study Abroad Program. This spring she will travel to South America to participate in the Department of Industrial Engineering program in Brazil.

A Caldwell Fellow and member of the University Honors Program, the University Scholars Program and the Mathematics Honors Program, McCoy was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, the Golden Key International Honor Society and Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematics honor society. She has received several scholarships including the Engineering Foundation Merit Scholarship, the Caldwell Fellows Scholarship, the National Merit Scholarship and the Shaw Industries Scholarship, and earlier this year she earned an Undergraduate Research Grant.
