The College of Engineering 2003 Awards for Excellence presentation was held April 7 in Mann Hall. This year’s winners are Carol Holloman, computer science, and Charles Hunt, Information Technology & Engineering Computer Services (ITECS). Other nominees were Sandra Bailey, chemical engineering; Mark Barefoot, nuclear engineering; Saundra Doby, chemical engineering; Sandy Lamond, research administration; Gary Stelling, computer science; and Betty Warren, mechanical and aerospace engineering.
Dr. Nino A. Masnari, dean of the College of Engineering, and Gwen Bell, NC State Engineering Foundation, presented award plaques to the nominees. The winners received an additional plaque, a check for $250 and 8 hours of compensatory time. College of Engineering winners will be nominated for the university-level Award for Excellence.
