RTI's MCNC campus, 3021 Cornwallis Rd, Durham, NC August 26: Propane Road Show: NC State Fairgrounds, Raleigh Post-Event Presentations June 11-12: Fifth International Hydrail Conference: for post conference highlights click: HERE May 27: Electrifying Transportation: RTEC presented information on current and future EV's at McKimmon Center in Raleigh - The Electrifying Transportation conference, sponsored by the Research Triangle Energy Consortium and organized by the North Carolina Solar Center, was held on May 27^th, 2009 at the NCSU McKimmon Center in Raleigh, NC. The symposium brought together experts from all fields that contribute to the issue of electric-powered transportation, with an focus on passenger vehicles. Speakers and attendees discussed the steps needed to electrify the vehicle fleet in the most sustainable fashion. Topics included: necessary research and advancements in vehicles, associated batteries and power storage, the Smart Grid, consumer choice of green alternatives, and required policies to facilitate changes to an electric fleet.
