Local Clean Energy Strategy Assistance

Through the Center’s Economic Develop Program, we can aid in the development and implementation of an energy efficiency and conservation strategy for local governments, including the formulation of renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy conservation, alternative fuels and energy usage goals.

The Center will help develop strategies to achieve those goals through efforts to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy consumption; education to encourage alternative transportation and renewable energy usage; and by encouraging behavioral changes among the population served by the eligible entity. The Center can also help to develop metrics to measure progress in achieving the goals and to report the results through the development and publication of annual reports to the population served by the eligible entity describing:

• the strategies and goals
• the progress made in achieving the strategies and goals during the preceding calendar year; and
• other services to assist in the implementation of the alternative fuels, renewable energy, energy efficiency and conservation strategies.
