$1 billion Statewide economic impact created by NC State's Industrial Extension Service, which is part of the College, from 2006 to 2009.

4 NC State's rank on a list of greenest schools in the Southeast published by Blue Ridge Outdoors magazine. The university was lauded for its campus-wide energy efficiency achievements and free alternative transportation options.
