Visiting the College of Engineering
Admissions Information Sessions and Campus Tours
The best way to find out if NC State Engineering is right for you is to visit our campus and participate in one of our information sessions offered each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We offer these sessions for prospective students and their families beginning at 1:30 p.m. Participants should come to room 120 Page Hall and we will escort you and your family to room 371 Daniels Hall. These informal sessions, conducted by staff members in the Office of Academic Affairs, last 30 to 45 minutes and include engineering-specific information about admission to our College, the freshman year, matriculation to a degree program and the many opportunities available to our students.
Our information sessions are a bonus for students interested in one of the many engineering disciplines and should be attended in conjunction with the Admissions information session and campus tour offered through the Admissions Office. The Engineering information session does not include departmental tours except on specified dates.
The next date that departmental tours will be offered following the Engineering information session will be Wednesday, November 11. We will offer two information sessions that day, one at 11:00 a.m. and one at the usual time of 1:30 p.m. The 11:00 session will be on Centennial Campus in the BTEC Center, room 135, followed by tours of Centennial Campus engineering departments ( Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Textile Engineering). Participants in the 1:30 information session will meet at 120 Page Hall and be escorted to Daniels Hall, room 434. Tours of Main Campus engineering departments (Biological Engineering; Biomedical Engineering; Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering; Industrial & Systems Engineering; Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering; Nuclear Engineering; Paper Science & Engineering) will follow this session. Be sure to sign up for the session you want to attend that day, as we look forward to many visitors!
