13th Annual Freshman Engineering Design Day

Specific competition times for the Hovercraft, Bubble Blowing Machine, Concrete Canoe and the Precision Launcher projects can be found here. All other projects will be judged in no particular order by a team of judges comprised of industry representatives and NCSU faculty and staff. All teams must be present for the duration of their FEDD session regardless of their specific competition time.
Morning session: 9am - 11:30am.
Awards will be presented from 11am until 11:30am.
Afternoon session: 1pm - 3:30pm.
Awards will be presented from 3pm until 3:30pm.
The building will be available for setup one hour before each session.
The following E101 sections will participate in the morning session: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19, 21, 23
The following E101 sections will participate in the afternoon session: 2, 4, 6, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24

Your team must be present in order to compete and receive credit for FEDD. If you have a course conflict with the above time you may use the Excused Absence Form.
The Progress Energy Distinguished Speakers Series

McKimmon Center Setup
Table assignments are based on the project you have completed. Please feel free to use any table within your specified project area. Most teams will share an 8 foot table with another team. All tables will have a power strip available (please do not plan to take up more than two outlets). If your project involves water make sure that you bring materials to ensure that your area & surrounding areas stay dry at all times (plastic, towels, etc.).
Transportation
Students are responsible for transporting themselves and their projects to the McKimmon Center. Buses will be running. Unrestricted, free parking is available.
